This something to do with the intake camshaft timing sensor 1 for hydraulic pressure in transmission, open or short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit or change control module defective will delay your vw fault. |
16518 Possible Causes:
16518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 16518 Code
- Inspect all the connections water in fuel sensor, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
