16499 Description And Summary : |

When you open internal control module: eeprom error retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open or injector control pressure sensor, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
16499 Possible Causes:
16499 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 16499 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c request b, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
