This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'b' / 'c', voltage correlation it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance also ignition switch accessory position, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
16497 Possible Causes:
16497 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16497 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'c' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
