This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission control unit relay, short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit high and wait then exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption will delay your vw fault. |
16480 Possible Causes:
16480 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 16480 Code
- Inspect all the connections cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
