16470 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing power supply terminal 30, voltage too low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high and wait then motor for intake manifold flap (v157), no signal will delay your vw fault.

16470 Possible Causes:

16470 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance

What To Check After Fixing 16470 Code

  • Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
