This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic pump for overdrive / low range (v190), electrical malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground also water in fuel sensor, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
16461 Possible Causes:
16461 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16461 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position output, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
