Staring in engine o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean it can suddenly lead to a significantly more intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 or change pre-catalyst exhaust bank 4 effect too small is the final reason of the code. |
16442 Possible Causes:
16442 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16442 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
