The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle control: airflow at idle too low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust bank 3, probe 2 no activity and cylinder 12 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
16440 Possible Causes:
16440 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16440 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
