This something to do with the intake camshaft timing direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit range / performance run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed crankshaft position signal output, circuit low . On the other hand secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
16431 Possible Causes:
16431 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 16431 Code
- Inspect all the connections activation starter relay 2, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
