16420 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 3, probe 2 internal resistance too largely or change rough road / engine torque signal from abs; electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
16420 Possible Causes:
16420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 16420 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
