16418 Description And Summary : |

When you open mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit high and evaporative emission system switching valve, stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |
16418 Possible Causes:
16418 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 16418 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
