The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault signal for back-up lights, open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit high and accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too high is the final reason of the code. |
16408 Possible Causes:
16408 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 16408 Code
- Inspect all the connections load signal from alternator terminal df, open or short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
