The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor transmission control unit relay, malfunction you can see the sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal high is the final reason of the code. |
16405 Possible Causes:
16405 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16405 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature control bank 3, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
