16404 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant temperature sensor, circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 or valve for pump - jet, cylinder 5 (n244), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
16404 Possible Causes:
16404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16404 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
