The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault databus engine-engine, implausible message It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, short to b+ you can see the throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit will delay your vw fault. |
16404 Possible Causes:
16404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16404 Code
- Inspect all the connections power supply (b+) terminal 15, implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
