16403 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing shift up/down wire, short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high or change turbocharger control module 2, implausible message is the final reason of the code. |
16403 Possible Causes:
16403 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 16403 Code
- Inspect all the connections generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
