This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (3040), electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start automatic glow time control module 2 (j609), circuit electrical malfunction . On the other hand engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |

16399 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 16399 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), regulation range exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
