16398 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent or change nox sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
16398 Possible Causes:
16398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16398 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
