16396 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault system too lean at higher load, bank 1 to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit or intake manifold flap; bank 2, stuck closed will delay your vw fault. |
16396 Possible Causes:
16396 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 16396 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
