This code were stamped on VW Engine case idle speed control throttle position, electrical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (3040), electrical malfunction and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
16389 Possible Causes:
16389 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16389 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
