The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to b+ or water in fuel sensor, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
16388 Possible Causes:
16388 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 16388 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
