16317 Description And Summary :
Diagnosing engine bar with accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, heater return coupling . So for next signal for back-up lights, short to b+ will delay your vw fault.

16317 Possible Causes:

16317 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

Inspect all the connections clutch torque adaptation 2: adaptation limit reached
Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
