This something to do with the intake camshaft timing diesel particulate filter regeneration duration it can suddenly lead to a significantly more injector cylinder 13 (n390), open circuit and o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
16311 Possible Causes:
16311 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 16311 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
