163 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil cylinder 13, open circuit or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
163 Possible Causes:
163 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 163 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay 2 for power supply (b+)terminal 30, range/performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
