This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'd' primary control, circuit low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more glow plug indictor light (k29), malfunction message from instrument cluster or 'a' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on will delay your vw fault. |
16279 Possible Causes:
16279 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 16279 Code
- Inspect all the connections mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
