The problem is about shift lock, open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor signals swapped bank 1 sensor 2 / bank 1 sensor 3 and wait then signal line for tiptronic: electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
16253 Possible Causes:
16253 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 16253 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2, compensation wire pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
