Staring in engine exhaust bank 4 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit intermittent / erratic you can see the exhaust bank 3/4 lambda probes before kat exchanges will delay your vw fault. |
16240 Possible Causes:
16240 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16240 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
