This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open and valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
16231 Possible Causes:
16231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16231 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 tension too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
