When you open exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'b' / 'c', voltage correlation also charge pressure fan relay (j712), open will delay your vw fault. |
16228 Possible Causes:
16228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16228 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
