16221 Possible Causes:
16221 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16221 Code
- Inspect all the connections injection pump, timing calibration not learned
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
