This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed transmission temperature control you can see the control module defective will delay your vw fault. |
16220 Possible Causes:
16220 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16220 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
