This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition switch run position, circuit low to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', performance and fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
16218 Possible Causes:
16218 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 16218 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
