Staring in engine cylinder 11 above knock threshold it can suddenly lead to a significantly more turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit low and kick down switch, error message from engine contr. will delay your vw fault. |
16216 Possible Causes:
16216 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16216 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
