The problem is about exhaust bank 4 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data-bus powertrain, hardware defective and wait then water in fuel sensor, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
16204 Possible Causes:
16204 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16204 Code
- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), no signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
