This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527) run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed system too lean at higher load, bank 2 you can see the turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal low will delay your vw fault. |
16201 Possible Causes:
16201 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 16201 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'c' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
