16191 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 1, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g300), short-circuit to mass retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit and control of valves pump / nozzle, electrical errors in the electric circuit is the final reason of the code.

16191 Possible Causes:

16191 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 16191 Code

  • Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 2 (n263), short to b+
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
