16189 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start coolant fan control 2: open or short to ground . So for next reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
16189 Possible Causes:
16189 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 16189 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
