Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start transmission request torque reduction, implausible or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
16173 Possible Causes:
16173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16173 Code
- Inspect all the connections actuator supply voltage "b", circuit /open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
