This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ecm/pcm power input, signal intermittent It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake injector control pressure regulator, circuit high or fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
16165 Possible Causes:
16165 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16165 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
