The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cannot activate controller reply function due to another error with equal priority retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start transmission fluid temperature, exceeded multiple times or change please check dtc memory of instrument cluster will delay your vw fault. |
16161 Possible Causes:
16161 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16161 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine- / transmission control modules, versions do not match
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
