This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug/heater relay circuit, electrical It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake intake manifold runner bank 1 control, basic setting aborted mechanical limit closed . So for next bank 2, system too rich off idle will delay your vw fault. |
16158 Possible Causes:
16158 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16158 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
