16138 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so cylinder 6 above knock threshold mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground and wait then control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
16138 Possible Causes:
16138 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16138 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
