16120 Description And Summary : |

This code were stamped on VW Engine case starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start cooling bypass valve, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical or motor for intake manifold flap (v157), malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
16120 Possible Causes:
16120 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 16120 Code
- Inspect all the connections mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
