This something to do with the intake camshaft timing power supply, voltage low voltage mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor internal control module: eeprom error you can see the secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
16118 Possible Causes:
16118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16118 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
