16079 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit high or change evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
16079 Possible Causes:
16079 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 16079 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
