When you open secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle control: airflow at idle too low also intake flap motor 2 (v275), no signal is the final reason of the code. |
16078 Possible Causes:
16078 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 16078 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
