This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'l' primary control, short to plus It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic . On the other hand pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
16073 Possible Causes:
16073 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 16073 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
