Accumulated in electronic control units so generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system data bus powertrain, missing message from instruments panel ecu or intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
16038 Possible Causes:
16038 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16038 Code
- Inspect all the connections powertrain databus, implausible engine temperature message from inst.
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
