This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean . On the other hand exhaust gas recirculation system performance is the final reason of the code. |
16031 Possible Causes:
16031 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 16031 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
