This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground you can see the ignition coil 'f' secondary circuit, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
16012 Possible Causes:
16012 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16012 Code
- Inspect all the connections sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
