The problem is about secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck on the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil 'b' primary control, short to plus and fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
16004 Possible Causes:
16004 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16004 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil cylinder 13, open circuit
